Who am i?
I know I’m expected to talk a lot about myself here, but I’ll keep it simple. I love my wife Sally desperately. However, I love Jesus more. I didn’t used to. But now I do. I want you to love Jesus more as well. If you want that, then maybe I can help you. My faith used to be an add on to my life, but now my life is all about Jesus. I don’t pastor a church, I don’t sing in a Christian band. I’m probably a lot like you, just someone who wanted to go from a faith that was predictable and boring to that ‘life more abundant’ that Jesus promised. The Holy Spirit, and great, godly mentors have shown me ways to have such a life. And now I want to show as many people as possible…I want to show YOU how to live the life that God planned for you to live, before you were ever born. I want you to draw Ever Nearer to your Savior.

Since you kept scrolling, I’ll assume you want a bit more about the site and author. EverNearer.com was birthed out of my desire to help others draw nearer to Jesus. I am Troy, a fully engaged Jesus follower, and I’m the very blessed husband of my favorite girl, Sally. I’m also thankful for our two wonderful sons and their wives, our loving daughters-in-law, and our two energetic grandchildren. We make our home in the beautiful state of Tennessee and enjoy being involved in a local church that is filled with Jesus followers serving the Lord with joy and reaching out to people in the local community and around the world.
